Purity is intended to wash your face in one step instead of the toner - cleanser ritual, which I would like since I usually skip toner when in a rush, but I think this must be for oily skin I have heard many people that call their skin sensitive say they love how gentle Purity is, so I wanted to try it. My skin is basically dry so I found this rough on my skin, maybe it is a conflict with the other products and exfoliants I use, maybe I used too much, but I am surprised to hear people rave about this cleanser being so gentle and that they just love it. If you wear heavy pancake makeup, this will be a good bet to clean your face since the heavy makeup is difficult to dissolve without a very oily or strong cleanser product. If you have sensitive skin and want to give this a try, use only a tiny bit, skip any other skin irritants such as exfoliants or peels or washes and maybe just try it on your oily areas like the T-zone. This got a low rating on lather because it is deliberately more of an emulsion than a lathering product. This is not a flaw, but how the product was intended.
