I have been a fan of Adobe photoshop since I was fortunate enough to use it at in high school junior year. It opened my eyes to all sorts of new ideas for my art work. I could go from 2D to 3D with just a few brush strokes and sometimes some help from the smudge tool. I am also known in my family for making holiday cards for Christmas featuring my my family and of course my babies. You can add snow, rain, clouds, sun to any picture in your picture folder in no time at all!
It is also great for editing photography. If you have a bad breakout in one of your pictures just use the clone stamp and it makes it perfect! Need whiter teeth? There are a few options, use the brush/air brush tool with a low opacity or use the dodge tool. You can make someone older, younger or even take off some exess pounds. Also fun to work with crazy hair colors!
If you are like me and love to draw the brush tool or pen tool are perfect for that. With the brush tool you can set the jitter, scatter and pressure of your brush. Adjust the size and if you want it to be a hard or soft brush. It also offers many multimedia brushes such as sponges, pastels (dry and wet) and even chalk. You can also download virtually any other brush or even make your own.
This is no substitute for your own hard work in a sketch book but it does offer some great new looks for your lineart. I would recommend this program to anyone who has a chance to use it and you don't have to be an artis because it's just fun to mess around with.
