My nickname is TINK and when I see anything that says Pixie or Tinkerbell on the package I just have to pick it up and check it out. Well it happened to me at Target! I was looking through the cosmetic section just to see what the new products were on the shelves. I saw a brand called PIXI by Petra. The products were rather high priced I thought but I kept looking. I found this cute little pot of gel eyeliner in Sapphire. I don't like to wear a black liner......it seems too harsh with my skin color. Curiosity got the best of me and I picked it up. I opened the box to see a small jar of gel liner and a small eye liner brush inside. That's it? Wow for $18.00 I would have thought they could have put in a small suprise for me!
I liked the color, and by the way you can sample any of these cosmetics before you buy them at Target. This gel liner also comes in two other colors. I think most times if I can't sample a product before I buy it......I will not even consider picking it up. Okay, back to my review of the liner. I purchased it and actually took it out in the car and applied it. I'm sure that I looked funny sitting there in my car checking my liner out as people walked by me! I really liked the color. It was not a harsh or bright color of blue......actually it was perfect!
To apply a gel liner you need to take the brush and decide if you want a thin line or a thick line. The brush can be used either way. If you want the thin line, simply turn the brush sideways. I like a little thicker line when I use it so I use the brush on the flat side. Take the top of the little pot of gel liner and gently dip the brush on the top of the surface. Don't push too hard or you will get too much product on the brush. I started at the outside edge of my eye first and then continued to the inside corner. I had to dip more liner on the brush from the middle over. I think as I use this product more I will be able to judge how much to put on the brush so that I can do it in one continuous stroke.
The eyeline is water resistant and it definately stays on until you are ready to take it off. It does not rub off either if you accidently rub your eye with your finger. It removes easily with with my facial cloths and I imagine it would come off with any facial cleanser.
I know you are probably thinking that $18.00 is way too much for an eyeliner. I did too..........until I tried it! I think the amount in the jar, 3.0g (0.105 oz), will last long enough to be well worth the money. Go to Target and give it a test run. I bet you will love it as much as I do!
