I just couldn't wait to review this most annoying, uneducational, repetitive toy! Ah!!! I feel better. I purchase alot of toys for my kids. I try to buy educational toys as well as some fun ones. I came across this toy, the Playskool Magic Screen Palm Learner. The price wasn't too bad. I initially thought it would help the kids to trace and write the letters of the alphabet and numbers as well as hearing the voice. I guess that part didn't really matter. The toy involved learning numbers and the alphabet which is part of preschool.

The toy has a neat design & bold colors. There is a plastic pen attached to use for touching the screen. There is an ABC button and a 123 button.

I can tell you, right off the bat, my kids were not too intrigued. I have three of these and not one of my children play with it. There is no on/off button. Everytime we put toys in the toybox, they go off. The voice is so annoying. When you push a button, it comes on like a magic sound. It says A and A is slowing formed with dots then a crunch sound as if eating an apple. B....bird...and the sound of a bird...tweet, tweet and so on. It stops after the letter C unless you push the button to continue throughout. It is the same with numbers. If you want to hear the alphabet song, you use the pen to push the screen or push the number button and the screen for numbers.

This is the kind of toy you just want to wing off a cliff! The voice is a very happy feminine robot! Yes...happy robot with a long, drawn-out speech pattern. No wonder my kids don't like it. I think I will stick to our dry erase easel. Point to remember....never purchase a toy without an on/off button. Be forwarned!
