Wheel Pals are among my 17-month-old son's favorite toys, by far. Unlike other toy cars, these are flexible ("squishy" as he says), and therefore he doesn't lose his grip on them when he's running them across the floor and over the couch or along his toy race track. The wheels roll smoothly and are very well-attached, so I'm not worried about them coming off and presenting a choking hazard. He gets these out first thing every morning, and we always have to have a couple in the bag for trips.
Also, Tonka (by Playskool) has so far not been involved in the various toy recalls from China. These are assembled in China, but Playskool says they unergo strict testing. Hopefully this is the case! We are planning to get the small race track designed for the small sized Wheel Pals for Christmas.
