I have been reading novels by Joanne Fluke from her Hannah Swenson mystery series for a while now. When she comes out with a new book, I try to read it. Plum Pudding Murder is a Christmas novel that I just finished.
Hannah Swenson owns and operates The Cookie Jar Bakery, and she also makes delicious baked goods for different affairs. But Hannah has a penchant for finding dead bodies, and that is one thing she would rather not have to face. In this novel, the owner of the Crazy Elf Christmas Tree lot has been murdered. Hannah and her boyfriend, Norman, find his body. Hannah is itching to find out who killed the victim and why, so some investigating is called for.
In this novel, there are a number of recipes included, such as German Apple Cake, Frosted Ginger Cookies, Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies, Jeweled Pork Roast, and, of course, Plum Pudding.
I enjoy the Hannah Swenson mysteries. Plum Pudding Murder was a fun, lighthearted book to read, the kind I like when I don't want to get into too deep or dark of a story. It is definitely a Christmas story, but I read it well after Christmas and still enjoyed it very much.
