I bought the white Swingers from a small surf shop in Hawaii in early 2006. I still have the same pair, they have never broken, and that's saying a lot. I am pretty hard on sunglasses, I routinely go through several pairs of crappy quality shades from gas station displays each year. I have also been a big fan of Oakley sunglasses, but they had a tendency to have weak frames that I've sequentially had bitten in half by a horse, stepped on, and shattered when placed on a hard surface for no apparent reason. On a whim, I switched to their competing company, Arnette, and found I love their quality and design as much or more then oakleys.
These do seem to scratch a little, but that could be from the care (or lack thereof) I give them. They have their own cloth carrying case provided by the company, and ought be cleaned only with that. They also provide excellent sun protection, and take the glare off of the ocean and snow. They are flattering for both female and male faces, and I would buy these again.
