The author has a very good reason for writing the book. She has 7 children and 13 grandchildren. She has been a pastor's wife for over 30 years and she and her high school sweetheart have been married for 40 years.
The book is very encouraging and inspirational. It not only takes you on her pregnancy journies, but also accounts some humorus potty training stories and tips. The chapter about puberty gives insight into the different aspects of that age and give the advice to love--love--love.
She also shares about her personal faith and stories about their days at Bible School where they lived totally by faith.
She also gives personal accounts of physical trials both for herself and her 13 month old son. It will make you cry and smile.
Finally, because of her many years of cooking, she shares tips and helps for planning the perfect meal and how to grocery shop effectively. There's a monthly meal planner included along with a list of items to help build the best grocery shopping list.
She includes all her family favorite recipes from appetizers, to main dishes, sides dishes, soups, making things from the garden and many of her Ukrainian recipes. This is her heritage and background. She also includes a year's worth of holiday menus and recipes from Super Bowl all the way through the year to Christmas dinner and New Year's Eve.
A 252 page book full of everything any woman ever wanted in a book. Very easy reading.
