Typically, we do not buy cat treats. Our cat is 14 years old, slightly overweight, and does not need cat treats. He also doesn't seem to miss cat treats.
When we were going away for a few days and another person in our family was going to watch our cat, we picked up a jar of these Pounce Moist Cat Treats to hopefully help a little with his separation anxiety.
Our cat loves these Pounce treats! Granted, he is not a fussy eater like our old cat was, but we noticed he definitely looked forward to getting a couple treats now and then. We just make sure to use these sparingly because of the extra calories.
These treats come in teeny cheese and little fish shapes. Our cat inhales these before he notices the shapes and I really don't think he cares, but they are fun and cute just the same. These are moist treats, which just mean they are not hard and dry. They are not really wet either, so there is no mess.
The treats come in a clear plastic cannister so you can see what they look like before you buy them. I like that. And a really nice thing is that there is a freshness date on the lid that I can easily read, so I have the comfort of knowing we are not giving our cat old, out-dated food.
We won't be making these treats a regular part of our cat's diet, but once in a while, I think it's ok.
