I walk my dog at night before bedtime. However, I live in a rural, wood area where 4 legged creatures roam at night. I fear only one and that's the skunk. When I go out at night, I like to have a strong, rechargeable flashlight. I have searched for the right one for years.
The problem with rechargeable spotlights is that their batteries all have a tendency to die fairly quickly so they have to be recharged. They also need to have a good trigger on them as the triggers tend to break or short out. The Brinkman Spotlight I had been using finally quit holding a charge so I needed a new spotlight.
I decided to try the Power Pro Craft 15 Million Candlepower Rechargeable Halogen Spotlight. When flashlights are measured in candlepower they generally are referred to as spotlights and they are extremely bright.
The Power Pro Craft 15 Million Candlepower Rechargeable Halogen Spotlight:
--- has a built in 6V 4Ah sealed lead acid battery
---can be charged with AC/DC adapter (included) or 12 V DC car charger (charger included) ---holds a charge for 20 minutes of continuous use
---a hook to hang it with
---has a stand for sitting on a surface
---has a strap for carrying it with
---includes a 1 year limited warranty
This flashlight is very heavy and large. I did not realize it was that bulky until I got it out of the box. I like this flashlight, but it is more suited for camping where you could set it down. It seems to hold a charge and I sometimes carry it with me, but mostly I use a smaller one for our walks. This is a nice spotlight.
WARNING: These types of flashlights heat up when in use so you do not want to touch the glass where the beam shines out as it will be hot.
