The best way to enjoy music or sound-tripping is when you have a good speaker or speakers to project the sounds. I have bought several portable speakers already. I plug them in my PC and other music players at home but none of them matched to the small and yet, powerful X-mini speaker.
I bought this mini speaker as a gift for my husband because he loves gadgets and listening to music from his iPhone. I thought it was the perfect accessory to add to his iPhone and other music players and even to his netbook. I got surprised when the sales person actually plugged the mini-speaker to his mp3 player and the sound blew me away - in a good way, that is! For a puny speaker (about 1.25 inches from the base and 2 inches in diameter), it is packed with high-quality audio power which can fill an entire room. My other dual speakers have no say when compared to this mighty speaker.
The X-mini speaker has a normal speaker mode and a bass mode. The bass mode is activated when you twist the round speaker up like you would when you open a jar's cap. It has a small jack pin which fits most headset pins in any music players, computers, TVs and stereos. It has a blue LED indicator when you switch the power on. The LED indicator turns to red when the unit has to be recharged. The portable and mini speaker comes with a USB charger cord which you can plug in your computer. The charging time is around an hour but usage of the unit is almost 6-7 hours non-stop. I used it in the office in the morning and it was still okay by the time I went home. It also has a small hole where you can slip a fabric handle like the ones for digital cameras and portable game consoles. The speaker comes in black or white color. I chose the black one for a more masculine feel. The mini speaker is Made in China but the quality is really good. We have this speaker for a year now and can vouch for its durability as well. The $35 I paid for this small and powerful speaker is really worth it.
I am not switching to the old and big speakers I have at home. This small unit is enough to fill the room with great sound. It only proves that great things really come in small packages.
