I bought this Cross Over Machine to add to my workout room at home because I wanted a total body conditioning system. It has pulleys that attach to the top cables to work my upper body and the same pulleys can be attached to the bottom cables to work the lower body. I add the weights on the sides of the bar that rises up and down with the cables. I use the upper cables to work my biceps, triceps, lats and traps. I also use the upper cables to build my back and chest muscles. The lower cables are great for my hamstrings, quads, and glutes. I really enjoy using this machine and the results I have acheived are awesome! I can quickly change the area I want to work on by simply switching the pulley location. I attached a pair of arm straps to the top bar of the machine so that I can do abdominal exercises too. It is a well constructed unit and I would highly recommend this system to anyone wanting to add to their home gym.
