If you never heard or saw Eddie James and his entourage on tv or in a local town event, you need to go see them. Eddie James travels around the country with 30 young adults who have come out of lifestyles of drug abuse, alcoholism, prison, domestic abuse, and pretty much every other entrapment you can think of. His ministry is frequently at iHOP (International House of Prayer in Kansas City), Karen Wheaton's RAMP Ministry, TBN, live and on tv, etc. Edde James also tours all over the world, not just in the USA. He is also the Music & Performing Arts Director on staff at Karen Wheaton Ministries.
Well, we were able to take our youth group to see Eddie James and his Excaliber group are amazingly powerful. It isn't about religion - it's about glorifying a God that brought each and every one of these young adults out of their depressed lives and showed them all how to live again and help spread that word of life to others.
The "Freedom" CD has 12 original songs, many of which they sing live in person. And the other amazing fact about Eddie James is that they do not charge a performance or speaking fee. That's right - they do accept any offerings that people would like to give, but they don't require a certain sized audience, nor does he believe in charging admission. They survive this ministry by donations from people who come to their engagements and through CD sales.
The CD track has:
Lion of Judah
You Are Jehovah
The Name of Jesus is Lifted High
Worship the One
Call To The Nations
Jesus Said It
You Are Worthy (one of my favorites)
I'm Sending The Fire
Freedom (another favorites of mine)
Here I Am
Jesus Said It (reprise)

As Youth Pastors, my husband and I love what Eddie James and leaders like him are doing to help motivate the young people in our world, who are and will be our future leaders. So please check out his website and listen to a few tunes. It's very lively and catchy. He is doing a wonderful thing and I find him very admirable. I will now be in charge of drama and performances for our youth group, so people like him give me great inspiration.
The pictures of Eddie James and his group belong to me. I took these pictures recently when we saw them in our home town.
