Do you put lipcolor on naked lips, even though you use a primer under your foundation? Well, dress those lips with Origins Underwear for Lips! It does a little bit of everything, and is long lasting and good for your lips on top of that.
Origins Underwear is a great primer. Their own write-up says "It plumps. It shapes. It minimizes little lines." I'm not so sure about the plumping; I haven't noticed that much. But it's great at lip shaping, especially if your natural lip-line isn't quite what you want (I don't exactly have a upper lip, but this helps me make one!). It's also great at filling in and minimizing those pesky little lines that are starting to appear where they aren't welcome. Last but not least, it keeps lipstick from feathering.
And it does this naturally. Genuine silica fills in lines and may help plump. Lips look fuller and are softer and moisturized with glycerin, jojoba, and vegetable oil. The instructions say to apply 3 dots to the center and sides of top and bottom lip, then smooth together to blend, before applying lipstick. I don't always do that; sometimes I just paint it across my mouth with the built-in applicator.
My only complaint about Origins Underwear for Lips is that it only comes in one shade, a sort of creamy beige. This works well for my lips, and I cover it with lipstick (which then stays on much longer than without a primer), but I can't help but wonder if it works for every shade of skin.
This is a great product, and well worth the price, and the 5 stars I gave it.
