Q-Tips are a cosmetic product used for applying make-up, lotions, etc. without using your fingers. They are also very accurate in comparison to cotton balls or a make-up wedge, as you can apply only one drop of something to an exact spot. In reality, despite what the packaging warns you of, most people use Q-Tips in their ears. If you have an irritating itch or a build-up of wax, Q-Tips can be amazingly effective. However, Q-Tips push the earwax further in the ear canal, which can cause problems if you turn this into a daily habit. However, I have not personally experienced any problems with Q-Tips, it is directed that you stick to the precautions that are printed on the package.
Overall, I am a big fan of the many uses of Q-Tips, and who isn't? The product is now synonymous with the term cotton swab, despite being a trademark. They are necessity for any cosmetic arsenal.
