The Golden coin maker was something which I purchased last year for my son, he seen this item in the Argos book and was really excited at the thought of making his own chocolate coins, it cost around £15.00, probably cheaper now though. The coin maker comes in quite a large cardboard packaging and includes everything required to make your own chocolate coins.
The contents include, Golden coin and melt factory, 'Safe melt' chocolate melting unit. 130g of quality milk chocolate buttons. Coin and medal melting bases and rings. Spread and scribe tool. 10 double-sided coin and medal messages. Golden foil, golden net bags and elastic. 8 page colour instruction booklet.
This product is quite safe for children to use although adult supervision is still required as there is hot water required to melt the chocolate, which is poured into a small bottle instead of having to use the cooker. I wont go into all the instructions as these can be found on the internet quite easily, but we found that although this was easy and safe enough to use, it took ages to make the chocolate coins, as we could only make four coins at a time, my kids soon got bored, the chocolate maker has been used a handful of times and spent the rest of the year sitting in the cupboard gathering dust.
The only good point with this coin maker is that you can use chocolate buttons and tin foil when your supplies have run out which I thought was good, but other than thisit was a total waste of money, not recommended.
