This rainforest activity center is great! As soon as I saw it it the package at the store I knew I wanted it! I was so bright, very cute, and was going to match our baby theme. It seemed perfect, but it was a bit expensive so I put it on my baby registry and ended up getting it as a gift.

It was very easy to put together, and comes apart easily for transporting. All I have to do is take the 2 arches off of the mat and fold the mat up. The battery case is inside of the giraffe and is closed by a small screw. The fabric of the giraffe completely covers the case so it is safe for the baby to pay on.

The mat is semi-waterproof so it is very easy to clean. My baby spit-up on it once and we just wiped it off. It didn't soak in or stain at all. The mat is very colorful (like the arches and toys are), and has rings in which you can attach the toys to for tummy time.

This play mat comes with 5 toys that can be moved around on all the different loops. There are many open loops that more toys can be attached to also. It comes with a mirror, monkey, toucan, twirly toy, and spinning rattle toy. It also has 2 butterflies hanging from a mobile, but the mobile does not move on its own. This is the only thing I don't like about the mat, I wish the butterflies spun on their own.

Where the arches intersect, above the butterflies, there are 4 lights that do different things depending on what setting you have it on. When I have it playing music, the lights randomly light up, dancing to the music. When I have it on rainforest sounds, the lights slowly fade on and off in a circle. I'm not sure my baby sees these lights very well right now when we play with it in the daylight. I think they would catch her eye more if we played with it in a darker room.

The mat can play music or rainforest sounds. I personally like the rainforest sounds better because the music eventually gets old to me. I think it plays about 5 different songs before it starts the same songs over, and they are short songs. The only thing I like about the songs is that they are classic songs with an upbeat "rainforest" twist. These sounds can be turned on constantly or set to motion activated. I don't use the motion activated feature because you really have to give the toys or arches a good tap in order for the music to come back on. My baby is not that strong yet, so once it turns off (after about 5 seconds) she can't get it back on.
