Rayman Raving Rabbids is a party game for Nintendo's Wii. Rayman is one of those old-school characters (he was the protagonist in an action adventure game) before the Wii, so upon first glance I was a bit skeptical. Normally when you take someone and put them in a different environment, it can come out a bit "hairy". In this game, Rabbids, a bunch of alien bunnies, have come to Earth. They have to come to take over the world (or something like that). They capture Rayman and put him in a cell. Rayman is now their entertainment, for they have built a roman colosseum out of garbage to torture Rayman. It is in this colosseum that you play the mini-games. Some mini-games include fixing Rabbids' teeth, playing sports, shooting Rabbids with plunger shooters, and many other wacky things. You may actually get a laugh out of some of the things they do. I laughed at a lot of them, because I am quite an emotional person. I cry more than any other boy at the school I attend. As you get through the mini-games, you will get upgrades and your cell becomes more "decked out". In all actuality, this game is actually very good. The mini-games are great, the multiplayer is great, and wondering what you are going to unlock when you complete the story mode is refreshing. One minor complaint I have is that I wish there could have been more mini-games to make the story mode longer. I'm not saying that to be cheesy, I really think there was a severe lack of different games to play. Overall, it is definitely worth the $50.
