This R/C helicopter is by far the neatest flying toy I have ever seen or flown. The size and weight are both remarkable, as it does in fact fit your palm, and it is light as a feather. The remote control hand held unit contains 6 AA batteries, and the helicopter itself carries on board batteries you recharge by a connecting wire to the R/C unit itself.
You will have a certain amount of 'learning how to fly" time required before you can really gain proficiency. It took me about 20 minutes to get the feel for the controls. However, once you get aquainted with the nuances of flying this little helicopter, you will be pleasently surprised with the maneuvers you can perform.
The only difficulties that I experienced have been an occasional incident where a wayward hair got wrapped around the tail rotor. A magnifying glass and a pair of tweezers easily solved this issue. The little thing is more durable than I first thought, as my 'training' flights resulted in many brutal crash landings. In addition, the maximun flying time on one charge can be frustrating, at 5 to 7 minutes maximum. The recharge time is listed as 15 minutes, however I found that a 10 to 12 minute recharge gets you airborn again. Keep in mind only use indoors unless there is NO wind outdside!
This is the most fun I have had with a 'toy' in years. All of my sons now have them, and our 10 year old grandson has also begun to master the flight controls. Some of the most fun our family has had at a gathering was when there were 4 of these helicopters in the air at the same time. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of one of these little flying beauties.
