A friend of mine bought this as a birthday present a few years ago. She gave the money and I ordered it from Walmart for $30 online. I now see that the price has rolled back to $10 in store now! It's a steal at $10!

While shopping for a CD player, I wanted two things. First, it had to play Cds, of course. Secondly, it also had to play mp3s on CD-RW discs. I wanted this so that I could create my own compilation discs and be able to change them as I wanted. This player plays both. I'd like an mp3 player but they're too costly and don't play CDs.

This player plays Audio CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RW, , mp3s, and WMA. It offers 24 programmable CD Tracks.

I usually only use this at home, so there are no bumps or skipping that occurs in moving vehicles. If you plan on using this in a vehicle or while walking outside, it has a 240-second Skip Protection - that's 4-minutes! It's more than enough. The sound also features a digital bass boost for better sound.

The player offers ID3 Tag support, which is great for reading the actual song titles on the 3-Line LCD display.

It uses a 2 AA battery or 4.5v power source. The battery life is good. Two AAs will last 30 hours. It also has a battery saver Auto-off feature, which will conserve the batteries even more.

Package includes clip-On earbud headphones but they're rather flimsy.

My gripe is that the controls are confusing with all kinds of odd button symbols. Surfing tracks is annoying beause you need to look at the tiny LCD screen and to get to the track you want, you need to scan past every song before it.

This player is medium quality, so don't expect the best quality. It works for my low level needs just fine. For $10, who cares?
