Is there anything more maddening than sticky price tags that won't come off of an item? I have a collectibles booth in a flea market, and I resell many glass items. Many of these items have sales tags that need to be removed, but they are stuck on, giving the item a less than glamorous look. I have broken my fingernails, and lost my mind trying to remove them, to no avail.
Finally I found a product that helps immensely! It's called Goo Gone. (Straight and to the point, right?) It works quite well on those frustrating, unsightly price tags. It says that it's also good for crayon marks, cosmetic stains, and sticky gum. (You should not apply directly to carpeting and some other materials. Also remember to test all surfaces in the least noticeable place, until you're sure it's safe.)
Sometimes you have to look in the "Auto" section of the store to find Goo Gone. Walmart and various other stores carry it, as well as Walgreens.
It has a pleasant citrus smell, and it doesn't take a lot for most problem areas. It is an orange liquid, with a somewhat oily texture. It will also remove grease, tar, and tape. I've had the most experience with those pesky stickers! Surely with all the technology we now have, someone can come up with a sticker that isn't so difficult to remove! Until then, it's Goo Gone for me!
