It came integrated with my motherboard and this is the only network card i have used so far and it has worked just the fine for me. The installation is very simple. Also I have used this Ethernet card on both Microsoft based computers and the Linux systems and there are no issues. I am not sure about its performance on UNIX or MACINTOSH systems. Drivers are easily available for most of the operating systems. I have my computer on a LAN and for this server-client architecture it does quite good. I have heard people complaining about it but i would say that there is no fault in the chip. They are cheap, deliver the data packets really fast, they are reliable. What else do you need? The only issue I faced is with the customer support. I have one experience with a fault in the card and i didn't get enough support i was expecting.
Bottom line, if you are using a personal computer or a small LAN you will have no issues but for commercial servers or networks look for better options.
