This recaro young sport carseat in charcoal has been wonderful. I bought it when my son outgrew most other carseats by height at around 40 inches, he weighed 36 lbs and this seat only harnesses up to 40 but I LOVED everything about it.

The best feature about this is the side impact head wings and was the main reason I went with this seat. I like that when my son falls asleep his head is kept in an upright postition no matter what. He has no issues with looking out around them either. It can be used as a booster once he hits 40 lbs and I love that it has more of a cocoon like look and design vs a regular booster seat.

This is a 5 point harness up to 40 lbs and then turns into a booster up to 100 lbs, its top slots are much higher then a regular carseat at 19 inches which is great for kids with a tall torso but not weighing alot, a perfect fit for older kids. This DOES NOT rear face so starts 20 lbs but it was irrelevant to me when I bought it since my son was already 36 lbs and forward facing.

The fabric is a beautiful soft plush and the nicest I have seen in a carseat. I have tried and owned several different highend seats and nothing compares. There is a removable extra bottom cushion which I still have in to add extra padding too.

Comes equipped with latch and a top tether but I do not latch, instead just install with a seatbelt. It is installed in either a 99 Chrysler Sebring or a 05 Honda Accord and installs like a dream in either. I have also installed it in several other cars and again so easy with a tight install.

It is something I would 100% recommend and only wish it went to a higher weight limit harnessed. I am sad that my son is fast approaching the 40 lbs at almost 5 years old.
