Sometime back, my brother-in-law had brought a noticeably big packet, wrapped in the nicest of wrappers, along with other gifts for the family. It looked different, and I was curious. I set about opening the gift. It was a hard cover rectangular box with the word GenX on it, and had a picture of a beautiful girl smiling in the white photo frame on it - just like any other photo frame wrapped in an eye catching packing.
On opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised to see a chic and elegant 7" Wide Screen Digital Photo Frame - something that I had always dreamt of! I immediately plugged it in, for the instructions said that we should charge it sufficiently before use. It also had chargeable battery sockets which I thought was great.
After charging, I stuck in my niece's flash drive which had some photos and loads of happening metro music. A window popped up with several options: music, data, photo, video, memory and a navigable side bar that showed up the menus once I touched there, making things easier for new users like me. My niece, a gadget junky, tutored me in a most convincing tone. She just toyed with it just like she would do with her new found phone! I tried to follow her and soon got into it. It was darn easy!
Now, more than two years later, the digital photo frame hasn't played pranks with me. It has an built-in soothing, relaxation music which keeps playing even when you put it on the screen saver, leaving you with a beautiful experience. I remember spending days in solitude with books, music and with the GenX frame for background music. The thing, I love about it is the sleek, elegant look and the all white sheen that make it all the more stylish and contemporary. And however conspicuous the pack may seem, the frame is actually quite portable which makes it easier to experiment with the room decor.
However, I wish it had softwares that read MS word and Acrobat Readers. I tried to install MS word but it didn't work, which is understandable.
I am awaiting another upgraded version of GenX that would make it a Kindle as well.
