I've been wearing liquid foundation for 40 years and rarely have I stayed with a foundation as long as I have with Revlon ColorStay. Oh yes, I have strayed to try other foundations, but I always go back to the ColorStay.
I like the the coverage that ColorStay provides, along with the fact that it contains a sunscreen. The latest formulation claims to have Softflex for combination skin, but honestly, that means nothing to me. Nor does it feel any different than before the Softflex was added. As I said before, it's mostly the coverage and the sunscreen that keeps me going back to the store for this makeup.
The product description claims that the foundation is light-weight and won't rub off with normal use, but I feel that it's a lot heavier than many foundations (probably why it has great coverage), and that it will rub off with normal use. As far as oil control, it does a better job than most, but as the day wears on, or in the summer, there will be a little shine.
The cost is high by my standards, but I do know there are more expensive cosmetics than the ColorStay. I wait for it to go on sale and buy a couple bottles at a time. It's the makeup I keep coming back to no matter how many times I've tried other foundations.
