Revlon's ColorStay is amazing. Ever since I was a little girl, I used to complain about how my grandmother's lipstick would get on my cheeks, on her cups, or even on my grandfather's face! She had old lady lipstick! However, I noticed a difference once she started wearing Revlon ColorStay. I liked the idea of longlasting lipstick so much that I went to buy it myself. My fiance loves it because he can kiss me without wearing my lipstick.
ColorStay has two sides. First, you apply regular lip color using a foam brush. After that, you apply the clear sealant, which gives the lip a very slight gloss (but not like a lip gloss--just a bit of shine). Both parts share one half of a tube. The applicator is so easy, it actually takes less time to apply the lipstick and the sealant than it does for me to put on regular lipstick and blot. I feel a lot more confident wearing lip color as a result of using this.
I am not normally the type of person to spend $10 on a piece of makeup, but this is worth it. I won't wear anything else. I actually had trouble removing the lipstick the first time I wore it. My grandmother advised me to rub some chapstick on my lips and then use a tissue--that does the trick. Very durable--great makeup!
I would like to see a larger selection available. There was a lot for my skin tone (I am very fair skinned to the point where it is sometimes difficult for me to find the right makeup), but not a large selection for women of color.
