I recently tried Revlon’s cream eye shadow called “Illuminance Crème Shadow” and I did not like it at all. I was initially lured to buy the eye shadow because of its good price, about $5 to $12 for four to eight different colors, and diverse selection of colors. The shadow comes in both natural hues of brown, pink and peach, as well as many dramatic shades of lavender, gold, blue and green. It also seemed like the product would be easy to apply, since you could use your fingers and blend the shadow into your skin. Once I tried the shadow it did go on smoothly and easily and it the colors complimented my skin tone. However, and this is a BIG however, the shadow consistently irritated my eyes to the point that I had to remove the make up half way through the day. The shadow made my eyes feel like I had sunscreen or something in them, and made them burn. Thinking I had purchased a bad batch, I exchanged the product and again had the same experience. So I’m thinking some of the ingredients used in the shadow can irritate one skin and eyes. Also, let me say I have never had a problem with another make up product, and do not have particularly sensitive skin.
