Foundation Photo Beauty Review Ready

Once again Revlon has released a great product in the Photo Ready foundation! I had used Revlon foundation in the past. Specifically Revlon's color Stay foundation and when the new Photo Ready line came out I had to give it a try.

Product Description: Lightweight, non-greasy foundation by Revlon goes on smooth to hide imperfections and is buildable for more coverage.

This particular foundation is in the HD(high definition) type of cosmetic line. Which was initially designed for television and movie makeup when broadcasting became HD and there for showed more facial flaws due to clear/up close picture.

I think if you prefer a medium coverage foundation with a slightly luminous finish this one might be for you. It does a good job of covering imperfections while still feeling light on the skin.

What Skin Type Is Revlon Photo Ready Good For:

-If you want your skin to have a subtle glow

-Your skin tends to be dry and dull looking

-Long wearing with little to no fading though out the day.

The coverage can easily be adjusted from semi-sheer to almost full coverage by layering or blotting with a makeup sponge. I would not say it is smudge proof or transfer resistant, but certainly has better staying power than most foundations.

Shade Selection:

-Natural Beige

-Medium Beige

-Cool Beige

-Rich Ginger

What makes this foundation different compared to others on the market is the light reflecting particles. Most foundations give a matte finish and this one gives a more luminous finish. I have read reviews where a few people thought the foundation was too glittery. Personally I didn't experience that. I think it is possible those reviewers were not shaking the bottle before using it and the light reflecting particles settled to the bottom of the bottle and when they dispensed the foundation through the pump the shimmer was the first thing that was sucked up in the dispense nozzle.

The foundation is not glittery by any means. The particles that give the luminous effect are not obvious flecks of glitter. The overall look of your skin is a soft dewy finish without actually being moist.

-Does not turn orange or cakey

-Has a lighter feeling on the skin compared to the color Stay Foundation

-Give skin a healthy looking complexion

-Blends well

-Buildable coverage

-Long lasting

-Foundation bottle has a pump which sanitary

My over all opinion is that for a drug store foundation this is one of the better brands. The Photo Ready foundation is also very similar to Makeup Forever HD foundation which is a higher end brand, but Revlon costs a fraction of the price.
