As spring approaches and the buds appear on the trees, I know allergy season is beginning. I can always feel it before I even notice the flowers or trees changing. It's hard to enjoy such a beautiful, refreshing time of year when my sinuses hurt, nose runs and eyes itch. And I can't overlook the sneezing that seems to go on forever.
I have allergy pills that help with some symptoms, but I was still miserable until my doctor prescribed Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray. It has made a big difference in how I get through the spring and summer. It was prescribed for me to inhale through my nose twice a day, but I'd sometimes forget the second dose. It has made a difference when my head is pounding and I feel lots of congestion. I don't like using medication, but there are some things I can't do without.
I no longer use this spray every day as my doctor recommended. I couldn't see the need for it when I wasn't having problems and even with insurance, it wasn't cheap. So, I take it when I feel the symptoms comng on and try to remember it daily when my symptoms are at their worst.
Rhinocort Aqua comes in a small bottle with 120 metered sprays. One or two sprays is the usual dosage. It is available by prescription only. It definitely helps me through the rough days, especially when the pollen count is high.
