I am just not a fan of cough drops. I have never felt like they really helped me, but I had to break down and at least try. I was in one of my college classes and kept coughing during lecture. I had stopped off at Target and bought these Ricola minis before class just in case I had a horrible coughing spell. I bought the origional flavor. As far as taste goes they are yummy. To me they taste like candy. They are affordable only 0.99cents for 15 pieces. They come in a tear open resealable bag. The bag is small and can be frustrating to pull the mini cough drop out. As for effectiveness, they work for about 10 minutes after completely letting them melt. It does not take them too long to melt because they are small. So basically you have to keep taking these thing really often to get any relief. I have a four hour lecture class and eventually had to end up leaving because the cough was getting worse, my head was pounding, and my throat was extremely sore. I would recommend them to someone who does not have a really bad cough. If you just have a sore throat then these may be more productive for that than the coughing.
