I received the Rival 6-quart Smart Pot Crock Pot at my wedding shower. Since we didn't have a house yet, it sat at my sister-in-law's in storage for a while. Once we moved into our house, it went into the pot cabinet and I never used it. Last year, I finally decided to break out the crock pot and give it a try and I find myself wondering why I didn't do it sooner.
The Rival 6-Quart Smart Pot is made of smudge proof stainless steel. It has a removable oval stoneware. The lid is made of glass. The lid and stoneware are dishwasher safe. There are 4 automatic time settings - Low at 8 or 10 hours and High at 4 or 6 hours. It automatically turns to warm when cooking is finished. It comes with a manual and a bonus cookbook. I've never used the cookbook though. It comes with the standard limited 1-year warranty. The crock pot retails for around $65.00.
I've come to learn that this crock pot is rather large compared to many others. However, I love this feature because it allows me to double or even triple recipes. I have made ribs, stew, pot roast, lasagna, and soup in this crockpot. Everything comes out delicious.
I highly recommend the Rival 6-Quart Smart Pot for anyone who loves to cook large meals. I really wish I had started using mine sooner.
