I love Robeez shoes for babies; they stay on very well, super cute with many, many designs to choose from, wash great and can be passed down to other kids. I love that the shoes can't come off baby's little feet, they stay on securely and they are so soft; these were the only shoes my daughter couldn't kick off her feet.
The shoes are made out of leather, are super soft with no buckles, laces, or velcro; they just slip on, like slippers. They do last but also don't see a lot of hard use at that age; the shoes are really great for babies who aren't walking through just learning to walk. Once they are walking, they need other shoes, at least for outside walking/playing.
What we've discovered is that a toddler has a hard time walking in the shoes unless they have nearly outgrown the shoes. They comes sized in size ranges, for example 18-24 months, so there's a lot of room in the shoes when they first enter that size range. If your child is just entering into the size range, the toe part has a tendency to flip under, the child will trip over it and fall, repeatedly. Since the soles are so soft, they don't offer much protection from outside hazards, and aren't really designed for hard surfaces. I've discovered that the shoes don't hold up so well for older babies; since the toe part flaps a bit they end up either tearing or at least, the paint wears off the toe rather qiuickly.
Also, if your child has chubby feet, the elastic around the ankles will leave marks; Robeez suggestion is to let the elastic out by cutting it and resewing it. A bit harder than it sounds. At this time we are only using the shoes indoors which makes them expensive slippers.
