The game Rock Band, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PS2, is easily the best multiplayer party game every created. The special edition bundle comes with a drum set, microphone, and fender stratocaster guitar. After a few minutes of first-time assembly, you'll be well on your way to rocking out and driving your neighbors mad. The guitar part works similar to that of the popular guitar hero series, but the fender is equipped with 5 extra buttons for use on solos. The mic plays similar to other karaoke games and records pitch. My favorite instrument is the drums, which features 4 pads and a bass pedal. When you work your way up to hard and expert mode, it is exactly like playing the real drums. Buy a second guitar and that's where the real fun starts. Lead and Bass Guitar, Vocals, and Drums combine to create the most fun video game ever created. When you and 3 other friends work together to achieve high scores, you feel absolute joy. You can rock your way through 40+ licensed tracks plus 15 others. Harmonix has also promised weekly downloadable content for a truly endless song library. There is only online play, meaning you can play with your band even when they're not at your house. The only thing that might scare away some people is the steep price tag, but I can tell you, it is worth it to dish out the $170. The game is truly meant to be played with others, so it slightly lacks in single player content. But in multiplayer, Rock Band creates a great social environment, and I recommend it to every single gamer.
