Over the weekend, I goy to try out my grandson's Quinny Zapp stroller while shopping at the Outlet Mall. This stroller is a must sought after stroller by many moms today. To begin, the Zapp is really neat looking, almost spaceship like. It sort of looks like the top of a space missile. The stroller is made out of anodised aluminum therefore it is very lightweight. Our's is green blue in color or, " Capri." I like the wheels are they are, made out of thick, hard plastic unlike the baloon tires on other strollers which tend to deflate dsue to weather.
One of the best features is that is it extremely easy to maneuver in and out of store aisles. Many other strollers are too wide to fit through. I did not like the height of the handles as they were too short for me. They would have been better of if they made them telescoping. It is also too short for my son.
My grandson seemed to be pretty comfortable. I did find the depth of the seat to be quite short and the overall length of the frame is too short for tall children. The footrest too, I found to be quite small for bigger children. A couple other problems I found were that the basket is hard to get to when the child is sitting in the stroller and the seat does not recline. I would rather have a stroller that reclined for smaller babies or older toddlers when they get tired.
Folding the stroller is easy as it can be accomplished in three steps. Once folded up, you wind up with a compact package that one can stuff into the convenient travel bag. I have to say that it is portable and would be good for travelling. Other features include the removable seat for washing, a rain cover and a sun canopy. You can also remove the regular seat and attach a newborn car seat in the stroller.
The size of the stroller is 69m x27cmx30cm (folded.) It is the lightest stroller on the market today weighing in at 8.5kg and the handle height is 106.5 cm. Due to weight and portability I believe this stroller despite some minor problems, makes it a great one for travelling whether by plane, train, bus, or automobile.
Although a little expensive, I believe the stroller is well worth the money. It is lightweight, takes up little trunk space, and is extremely manuevable. I highly recommend it to all mommies with little ones!
