Ellen Tracy Rolling Duffel

I've wanted a rolling duffel bag for some time. Having enough luggage was always the excuse not to buy another bag but on a trip to Florida last year I ended up coming home with more than I started with. On a trip to Marshalls recently, I rolled out with this Ellen Tracy Detour Rolling Duffel in a beautiful shade of purple.

I've now traveled with this rolling duffel bag on three more trips and it's become my favorite travel bag. It meets the airline restrictions for carry on bags/suitcases so I never have to wait for luggage after a plane trip.

Some of the specifics and reasons I like this bag are:

I love the color, it's not your normal black or dark color, and a vacation is a good time to pack your things in something bright and fun. The overall size of the duffel bag is 19-1/2 x 12" x 10-1/2".

Being a one compartment bag I'm not dealing with a lot of zippered sections for undies, socks, makeup, etc.

There is a 24" interlocking zipper across the top with snaps on either side. These snaps attach the ends of the zipper to the side of the duffel bag. Unsnapping them gives me a wider opening for packing, or I can leave them unsnapped for a little additional packing room. There are two leather handles which snap together at the top.

My Tracy Ellen Rolling Duffel is fully lined in a beautiful orange/tan poly lining. There is one small pouch on the inside that I use to hold our medications so they are easily accessible if needed.

The push button handle system is recessed into one side of the duffel bag. A snap of the push button and the handle pulls up into a locking handle position, and I'm ready to wheel the bag off the plane, through the airport, or wherever I need to go.

There is a 2-wheel twister system which, again, makes pulling this duffel bag effortless no matter how much I've packed in the bag. The wheels are purple to match the bag as are the 2 bottom knobs which combine to keep the bottom of the duffel bag off the ground and clean when setting it down.

Lastly, there is a separate zippered compartment across the front of my Ellen Tracy Rolling Duffel. It measures 17" wide by 8" high and zips from both sides to the bottom of the compartment, so I can open it all the way if needed. I keep snacks, magazines or a book in here on trips.

I give this bag a 10 out of 10. It comes with a 3 year warranty and had a retail tag of $120.00 attached to it. Marshall's has great discounted luggage bargains. When you need a rolling duffel bag such as my Ellen Tracy, or a full sized suitcase, check them out for their ever-changing inventory.
