The Rome Anthem SS is a do it all ripper on the mountain. It's a Directional Twin-Tip board designed to be ridden in one direction. It's great for the powder trails where the snow is going to be a bit deep. The design is a set back stance which will allow you to get the nose of the board atop of the snow easier in deep powder. However, you can ride it in switch, but the performance will not be as great. The all mountain board is great for groomed trails too. The slightly stiff construction enables sharp turns while riding at high speeds.
Although this is a directional all mountain board, it's a good board for the park and pipe. I've been snowboarding for 10 years and have found this my favorite all mountain board. It's quite easy to hit the big jumps. It's responsive feeling gives you the extra pop you need in order to set up the jump just the way you want every time. As you go further into the park, it's a board that is great for boxes and rails. Despite the set back stance for the typical all mountain board, the Rome Anthem SS can still hit the rails, you can hardly notice the stance.
The Graphics on this ripper is pretty cool. It looks like it was made for the old school rider. If your looking for a board with some narley style but not too flashy, this is definitely it.
All in all, despite the price of this board, this is a do it all board for a beginner to advanced rider. Anyone can ride this board. The SDS technology makes the board feel more like a skateboard under your feet for all of you skateboarders. I highly recommend this snowboard if you are looking for a directional twin tip board.
