To be honest, I was a little hesitant to invest $69.99 in an iron. But I have recently committed to ironing all my husbands work shirts in a effort to save on our weekly dry cleaning bill. I justified it by telling myself that if it helped with this less than fun chore, it will have paid for itself in a matter of weeks. So I took a leap based on the wonderful reputation of Rowenta. I purchases the Power Duo Iron and I have to admit, it did not disappoint! There is quite a difference in performance when you jump to the next price level in irons. It has a stainless steel bottom that glides smoothly over the fabric. A great feature that it has is the tip of the iron has its own steam holes making corners and heard to reach places a breeze to get smooth. It heats up quickly and has wonderful steam power. The closed water compartment is excellent in that it prevents water from dripping out when you are using a lower temperature which is a common and annoying problem with less expensive irons.
Without a doubt I am tremendously pleased with my investment in a quality iron like Rowenta. It has really made my weekly ironing much more enjoyable!
