My great grandma Sarah died a few months before before I was born, but in her will she left me her china collection. When I turned 21 I was to recieve this beautiful set of China. As a child I was allowed to admire it, it is such a beautiful set that I could hardly wait to grow up and enjoy this lovely collection.
About 8 years ago, my grandma presented me the set, with advice about caring for this lovely gift, which had been in my family for many years. I was afraid to take it from the boxes as I didn't want to destroy something so beautiful and precious.
This year I moved into a lovely home and I felt that I was finally mature enough to use this gift from Great Grandma sarah. I am still a little nervous about using this lovely set of china, so I only bust it out for the most special of occassions, as I hope to someday share this family treasure with a daughter of my own.
The dishes are white, with lovely lilac flowers along the edges, and it has a 22 k gold rim. Whenever I look at my set of Royal China Inc I am impressed with the lovely details and the fact that it has withstood the test of time. This is truly one of my most prized possessions, as my great grandma has been dead for nearly thirty years, and I have been told that she loved this set of dishes as it was a gift from her husband, my great grandfather for an anniversary and she felt very strongly that I should recieve it when I was mature enough to appreciate it.
If you ever run across a set of Royal China Inc, I would recommend that you buy it, regardless of the price. I have no idea what it is worth, and I am not interested in its monetary value, as the sentimental value of this set of china is priceless.
