RPG Maker 3 is the 3rd installment of the RPG Maker series for the Playstation series and the 2nd for the Playstation 2. It is a big leap for its producers as the game switches from its semi-3D/2D graphics to full 3D, making the game more appealing. Old favorites and features are still in the game such as the control of 'Events' and the creation of custom items, and some were expanded to further compliment the needs of one's game.
For Genre, I gave it a perfect score as this game is unique in all its own. Never has the Playstation 2 experienced such a different style of gaming. For Graphics, I gave it an average. In spite of its 3D leap, the graphics still are not the best of the best, but you can bet they're satisfying enough. Content is at 5 because of the wide variety of things you can do to make the perfect RPG. Maturity Rating is its waterloo : younger people will sadly, not be able to make their own RPGs. The content is very complex, and only smarter adults will be able to take it all in, as well as several young adults.
Overall, a good game but the difficulty to comprehend the controls is very depressing. Lazy gamers will just have to wait for the next installment and hope it will be much more newbie-friendly.
