Ryobi 30CC 17 Curved Shaft String Trimmer

After 15+ years our Ryobi Trimmer needed replacement. Since we had many of the Ryobi add-on attachments still in good working order we purchased a rebuilt Ryobi 30cc 17" Curved Shaft String Trimmer CS30 ZRRY30530 on ebay for only $59.99 plus free shipping. The Expand-It shaft allows us to remove the new trimmer attachment and use our Edger, Blower, Cultivator, Hedge Trimmer & Pruner attachments when working in the yard and gardens.

Our Ryobi trimmer is reconditioned so we saved money over a new purchase but it's in like new condition and comes with a one year factory warranty. We received an operator's manual which takes you through assembly, operation, safety and troubleshooting with clear pictures.

Some of the features or specs of our Ryobi trimmer are:

30cc 2-cycle low emission engine (gas-powered with unleaded gas and premixing with 2-cycle engine oil which was included with the trimmer). A ratio of 1 gallon of gas and 2.6 oz. of oil is recommended.

This is a bump feed trimmer with a 17" cut using .095" line.

Converts to 7 tools (we now own 5 of these so with the new trimmer attachment) that makes it 6.

To start-up the trimmer you push down the choke lever until it locks into place, then prime the system with 3 pushes of the primer bulb, and lastly pull the starter grip and rope. When the trimmer starts let it idle for about 10 to15 seconds, then pull the throttle trigger which will release the choke.

The curved shaft makes it easy to rotate the trimmer head against the edge of the driveway and garden pavers for a sharp clean-cut of the weeds growing there. Getting around and under the bushes and trees is no problem as the ergonomic design of our Ryobi trimmer makes for easy handling in different positions and angles. Also included is a grass deflector that protects against flying debris while operating the trimmer.

The motor is top mounted plus there's an anti-vibration handle, both of which help to balance the trimmer when weeding.

As owners and users of Ryobi products for so many years without any problems, my husband says this trimmer makes fast work of eating the weeds and getting on to the next chore. Wearing eye protection is recommended and also make sure to keep children and pets away while weeding in case of flying debris.

I have to give my hubby credit for the information he gave me here as he does all the yard work, and a good job he does of it with the Ryobi Weed Eating Trimmer!
