When I was registering for my baby shower I was blown away by all the different kinds of specialty diaper pails on the market. All the special features to keep the smell of the diapers down made everything so expensive. All I wanted was a simple diaper pail that had a lid and could be easily opened with one hand. This was the only diaper pail at the store that was that simple and didn't need a bunch of extra stuff I would have to keep buying.

This is the same diaper pail that my brother used for his kids so I knew it was going to be good. It is a very simple pail that you put any normal garbage bag into for collection. To get the bag in, all I have to do is open the lid, put the bag in and around the lip of the pail, and shut the lid. The bag never slips or breaks.

I can open the lid with one finger too! There is a small button on the top on the pail that opens the little lid for diaper disposal. The little lid just pops open and clicks back shut when you close it. The under side of the lid has an air freshener container that helps keep the smell down. It comes with a small plastic air freshener disk that smells like vanilla frosting! It's not overwhelming, but it does help cover up the diaper smell.

Speaking of the smell, there really isn't any for me right now. I am breastfeeding right now, and than means the diapers don't smell very bad. I forget to close the lid quite often, but I never smell anything in the air. Once my baby starts eating solids I know the diapers will get stinkier, but I don't think I will have a problem with smell. The pail is big enough that I don't have to empty it everyday, but it is small enough that I can't keep the diapers in there long enough to get old and stinky. I change the bag about once every 5 or 6 days.
