The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a great iPad alternative. If you do not like to be limited by open development, then you should consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 16 GB internet tablet. It has wi-fi support. This tablet features a 10 inch screen, which is great for web browsing and playing games. The Samsung Galaxy Tab runs on Android 3.0, which is the newest and most up to date Android operating system available. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has two cameras (one front and one back). Unfortunately, there is no camera flash so don't expect to take pictures in dim rooms or places.

To start with, I will organize this review in two section. The web browsing and application usage in the first section. The second section would be media playback. In the media playback, I will also be talking a bit about the battery life as well.

The web browsing experience is quite nice on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The big screen eliminates the need to zoom in and out on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. For smaller screens, there is a need to constantly zoom in on the text you are reading. There is flash support on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The flash support allows you to watch videos and stream content over the internet. The load speed is very hard to decide. It depends on how well your connection is with your network. The Android market has a wide selection of applications. I have to admit that the AppStore has more applications, but the majority of the applications on the Android Marketplace are free. You can download popular applications such as Angry Birds free of charge.

The media playback is pretty good too. You can view videos in high-definition. I have noticed that pixelation occurs once in a while if the resolution is different However, this happens rarely and is not a major concern. The great thing about the Samsung Galaxy Tab is that it accepts many file formats including JPG, AVI, MP4, M4V, MP3, BMP, and more. All the major file formats are accepted on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. My only dislike about the Samsung Galaxy Tab is probably the battery life. The battery life is pretty short in my opinion. When playing games or watching videos, the battery bar goes down by a lot. This means constant charging and the constant use of a power adapter when running applications and videos.
