My phone was stolen and so I bought this phone as a replacement. I have been very satisfied with this phone. Firstly it is quite lightweight for its size. It is slightly larger than an Iphone and weighs probably 2/3rds as much. The screen is very bright and crisp and displays pictures and videos very well. The overall GUI of the phone is similar to an Iphone. Apps are small icons that you can arrange on the screen as you like. The phone is powered by the Android OS and runs very smoothly and fast with a 1GHz processor. The android market provides tons of extra apps for your convenience and entertainment. It's reception is great and I've never had a problem with it loosing service or audio quality degrading. It features not just one camera but two, one high-resolution camera to take photos or video in 720p HD, and one lower resolution camera facing you, for taking self portraits, video calls, etc. Its built-in GPS and map app works great and is very accurate. Works great for finding your way in traffic or just locating somewhere you've never been before. The Samsung Galaxy S is available in two memory sizes, 8GB or 16GB. On top of this it features a microSD slot to expand the memory size with an SD card. It's notification bar along the top of the screen is very handy and allows you to access many different options within the phone with the slide of a finger, as opposed to having to scroll through countless different menus like the Iphone. Another useful feature is the Samsung AllShare, which allows you to stream media from the phone to a Wi-fi connected player, such as an audio system, network connected HDTV or a computer. Battery life is also quite good, and on normal use lasts about 2 days, which is fairly good for a touch screen smart phone. This phone does unfortunately have some lag issues at certain times, taking a few seconds to catch up to what you were doing, such as opening the email app. Email information is also sometimes lost and has to be re-entered into the phone again, something that is very annoying and frustrating. Overall a great phone that has many impressive features. Although it can have some lag issues at times, it's not serious enough to really overshadow the usefulness of this great smartphone.
