I own a Samsung X11 for over one year and it is still running well. The laptop itself was a major attraction for me when I bought it back in Shanghai. The original sticker price was 17800RMB (~2200USD) but I managed to get the price down to 12800RMB (~1600USD), with the power of bargain (In China, everything needs to be bargained, otherwise they'll rip you off). The specs are the following: Centrino Duo T2400 @ 1.83GHz, 2 slots of 512MB of RAM, 100GB HD, 14.1" Wide XGA, weighing 2.1kg. This laptop is perfect for people who tend to carry their laptops everywhere they go, but be aware that the battery runs low really fast (approx. 1 hour). If you're not always next to a powerplug, this laptop is not suitted for you. There is an optional 8 cell battery (lasts around 3 hours), but the price will make the computer extremely expensive for what it is. After using it for one year, my DVD/RW seems to be kind of messed up, and my left mouse button from the touchpad is semi-broken (this seems to happen with most of the X11's, since my cousin's is also with the same problem). A solution for that would be buying an extra mouse. As I don't use my computer for games, the screen size is just about perfect for me, but one thing that really irritates me is the screen brightness. I only didn't grade 1 for it because I've seen worse cases. Overall I'm okay with my computer, but if I could go back in time, I wouldn't buy it, due to it's quality control. 1 year ago, this laptop was awesome. Nowadays... hmm, I would say that there are MUCH BETTER LAPTOPS for a MUCH BETTER PRICE.
