I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas of 2006 and a few months later, the screen went completely white and you really couldn't do anything with it because you rely on the screen. Recently, I decided to call SanDisk and see if we could troubleshoot the problem. My daughter was really upset and wanted another one and I really didn't have the money to buy another one of those expensive but evendently 'necessary' items. I called them up and asked them for a fix and after trying a few things to save the songs but restore the screen, he determined that there was nothing to do other than try to reboot the drive but all would be lost. We did try that and after all that, they said they would send us a new one after we sent the old one back. I was really pleased with the amount of knowledge and expertise the employees at SanDisk. They were very friendly and very patient. All promises of call backs were honored and they did a good job of retaining a customer. No more than 2 weeks after my initial call, we reicieved a brand new Sansa e250R from UPS and there was absolutely no expense for me. This was a 1 year warranty! My loyalty lies with SanDisk and any upgrades to be done will be done with them.
