I love sales after Christmas, you can always find something you just "need" to add to your decorations for the following year.

This cute fiber optic Santa is just one great find a few years ago at 75% off. It's called Snow Days - Sitting Santa with Fiber Optic. I almost forgot I had him until my husband brought him up from the many boxes of Christmas decorations in our basement.

Santa's body is made of a huge round hard plastic ball about 8 inches around. Inside the ball is another smaller ball which has a snowflake pin hole pattern cut into it with fiber optics inside to create the most beautiful random colors through the pin holes.

Santa's 10 inch legs dangle from the bottom of the ball below a black belt and are made of a softly stuffed red and white striped glittery material. You can pose the legs hanging straight down or cross the feet, whatever strikes your fancy, or Santa's! He has large black felt boots tied with a red shoe string.

Santa wears a red coat made of the same glittery material with a white fur trim. When the fiber optics are turned on it shimmers in the dark. Black felt mittens hold a green shimmery bag of Christmas greenery which have the fiber optics woven through it.

Santa's jolly face is trimmed with a ruffled fiber optic felt beard and a jolly green and red striped hat sits on top of his head to complete the outfit. The overall height from hat to boots is around 24".

Our Santa plugs into a standard 120V outlet, has a UL listed adapter included and uses a 12V/6W halogen bulb which is included (plus a spare). Complete instructions were included on how to change the bulb if needed and otherwise there is absolutely no assembly required.

We have no small children but it should be noted that this is not a toy and is for indoor use only as a decoration. The base should always be well ventilated and it should be unplugged if no one is home. We haven't had any problems as Santa goes from box to his place of honor during the holidays and creates a magical glow to a darkened room. Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!
