Direct TV has a lot of room for improvement in some areas. First of all, let me say that I think the price is good compared to cable companies. They're also teamed up with Verizon, so if you have Verizon phone service, you can get a discount on Direct TV. This is great!
The technicians are wonderful! I don't think you can improve on perfection, so this isn't where they need their improvements. The technician that installed the system was very customer oriented and very competent. He was someone I would have invited to dinner! We also had to have a technician come out and see us once. He could have charged us for the call and replacing a "hook up plate", but he didn't. He was also very customer oriented and competent.
However, I've had problems with their equipment and when talking to a representative on the phone, it's horrible! They treat you like you don't know what you're doing. You tell them what you've tried and they don't believe you! Getting them to agree to place a service call is incredulous!
I also think Direct TV could improve upon the programming they offer and maybe let the customer choose more of the channels they want and be able to get rid of the channels they know they won't watch.
