Scene It is a fun DVD based game that had a board, pieces, and cards. The DVD is the main use of the game, it is a fun game for 2 or more people to play. The music edition is based on old to new music, artists and songs.
The game is fun, and I have played it a few times and really enjoy it. Like most of these party games, the more players you have the more fun you have-it will play better and easier overall. I love music trivia personally, so if you have an audiophile or music buff in the house, it will be enjoyed.
The game play is quite simple. You insert the DVD into your system and it will cue up instructions on how to play. The board can be open or closed, making time for a quick or short game. The questions range from song lyrics to questions about the artists themselves. The little pieces are fun representations of music-beat box, record etc. I love the quick play of a game like this-it is fun and you are able to pay attention to the game partially and still talk and enjoy a party-it is a very social game.
My only report of weakness/negativity would be the strength of the questions. For those people with a simple music background, this game will be difficult. It is not an easy game to run with if you don't have a good to great music knowledge. But if music is your thing, enjoy!
