Schuam's Outlines are famous for being some of the best study guides out on the market today. Especially because of the reasonable price (normally 10-20 dollars), many students have come to rely on these books. For those looking to buy the Chemistry review book, understand that it is not as good or as comprehensive as many of the other books in the series. It doesn't cover all the topics in introductory college chemistry and is sorely lacking for even something as basic as a high school AP course. It also focuses far too much on aspects of chemistry relating to calculations and not enough on aspects relative to descriptive chemistry. All in all, the series is excellent, but this particular book is not worth getting. As a replacement, I would consider a recommended college text (older is fine) from a professor.
