A friend's daughter was selling cookbooks through her church to raise money for a performing arts camp. She posted this fundraiser on Facebook and I bought 5 of these little cookbooks to give out to some of the kids (young adults) in our new college ministry.
There are several topics on these cookbooks and they range from Italian foods to cookies.
This "Starving Student Cookbook" is the size of a 4x6 index card and spiral bound.
The pages are flipped, so you can actually stand the book up and view two recipes at the same time.
This book has 150 pages, a table of content and an index
There are also over 150 recipes in this little thing!
The recipes are quite easy and there is even a section for anything you'd like to make with a box of Bisquick that you could think of.
There is a "Slow-Cooker Cheese Soup" that has frozen hash browns, Velveeta cheese, minced onion, evaporated milk and water. How easy is that? All of the recipes are like this and include items that pretty much every household has in the pantry or something a college student could find at a nearby store.
These mini gourmet cookbooks can be used to raise money for any event you need.
Their website is http://www.schoolmate.com and this link takes you to the mini bookbooks. They have other items available as well, so check them out.
The books cost $3.25 each and you sell them for $6.50. That's not a bad price for such a useful gift.
